How much of your life has been lost worrying what your body looks like? When I started thinking about becoming a professional in the fitness business I was 60 pounds overweight, I had packed 250 pounds onto my 5’9 frame. My first thought was “no one will take fitness tips from a fat slob”, my second “do I have any chance to be successful if I attempt to lose it”. Doubt from day one, dislike of how I looked, how I felt, and desire to change, but fear I would fail. When I look back at this time I can’t believe how scared I was, and how much that fear made me question myself. I had always been athletic, hell I got most of my bad eating and drinking habits because I was burning so many calories playing basketball, rugby, or training. These thoughts are always top of mind when I first meet with my clients, because I know they have similar insecurities.
I want my clients to know that there are many “right” ways to fitness, we can get as creative as you want to help discover the best version of you. The most important thing is that you want to change, whether it is lose weight, get stronger, or run faster there will be change involved. Change to the way you eat, change to the way you think about exercise, change to the way you sleep, and these are just the first few changes. Beyond being comfortable with change, we can work together to design a program that will inspire you to stay with it. Together we will settle on your goals and I will put together your first 6 week training program. During this time you will have one class a week with me and you will also have 7 day a week access to me via email, where I can answer your questions or just help you stay inspired during a rough week. Then, once you reach your goal, it’s time change it again.

Let's talk about how I help facilitate change in my clients behaviors. The first step is to learn about who they are, what their goals are, and why they want to change. I seek to understand the aspirations and needs of each individual and find solutions to help them reach those goals. The second part is creating a program that helps you achieve the goal you have or the change you want to make. It doesn't matter if you are a small business, corporation, or individual, we can tailor a program to meet your needs. The last two parts of the process is to measure & refine it, we constantly look at the how you are making progress towards your goal and will adjust future steps to make sure we are achieving measurable results.
Below is a great article about how we should embrace change and how it can push individuals and companies to greater heights. https://hbr.org/2018/03/what-breaking-the-4-minute-mile-taught-us-about-the-limits-of-conventional-thinking |
